Accessibility statement
The Brandenburg Main State Archive has endeavoured to make the online exhibition “Besitzen Sie Gemälde …?” – NS-Kunstraub in den Akten der Vermögensverwertungsstelle Berlin accessible to all.
This effort is based on the Brandenburgische Verordnung zur Schaffung barrierefreier Informationstechnik (BbgBITV) in conjunction with the Brandenburgisches Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BbgBGG).
This accessibility statement applies to the website: www.raub-kunst-verwaltung.de.
The basis for establishing technical accessibility is also provided by the internationally valid Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) at conformity level AA and the European standard EN 301 549, version 3.1.1.
Compatibility status
This online exhibition offers some technical display options that are not completely accessible. When checking accessibility, it must therefore be noted that this website is partially compatible with the BbgBITV and the BbgBGG. Incompatibilities and exceptions are listed below.
Content that is not fully accessible
For technical reasons, some content is not accessible, i.e., it is not or only partially compatible with the BbgBITV. The restrictions relate to design elements based on the Java Script programming language:
- The map module, which provides additional access to the exhibition content, is not fully accessible. However, all content can be accessed via the menu items.
- The slider for scrolling through the files is not fully accessible as a function. On devices that do not support this function, the images are displayed individually one below the other.
- The zoom option for individual images in the lightbox is not fully accessible. Alternatively, the images can be opened separately in the browser and enlarged as required.
- In the network graphic module (in the chapters “The system” and “The profiteers”), the connection arrows between individual pieces of content are not fully accessible. However, the content of the network graphic is subject to a hierarchy, so that it can also be accessed sequentially.
- In the hotspot image module, which is used in several places in the exhibition, the plus signs on the images are not fully accessible. All the information behind them becomes visible when you hover over them with the mouse.
- The “H5P Branching Scenario” plugin is used for a quiz in the “And today?” section of the exhibition. This type of content is not fully accessible, as complex branching sequences and navigation within the module are only partially accessible to screen reader users and those who use only a keyboard.
